We've Been Interroga... We Mean Interviewed!
It's funny how good fortune often comes from the most unlikely of places, when you least expect it. Thanks to the undisputed social media king of brevity known as Twitter, I had the lucky happenstance to have the fine gentleman who runs ThriftyGamer.ca send me an internet message, a digital smoke signal, indicating that he finds our stuff to be decidely not sucky. I'd even go so far as to say he really enjoys them.
From this, we have collaborated on an article that can now be viewed over at said frugal gaming zone. We happily answered a few questions about what we do, and sent along a sample of our work so they could get all tactile on our junk. Results were decidedly positive.
So, go check them out; apart from the article about us (which includes an exclusive discount code, by the way), the folks at ThriftyGamer also do a fine job of reviewing the latest digital distractions and keeping tabs on how to save some money when it comes time to plunk down your shekels for 'em.

See Us In Meatspace On October 15th!
I can only imagine many of you have been wondering what PixelPerls has been up to as of late, what shenanigans we've been a contributing party to. Fear not, fellow gamers, for we have not unceremoniously fallen off the face of the planet. No, quite to the contrary: we have been preparing.
For the unlikely, but somehow inevitable, zombie apocalypse, you ask? Nay, though construction of our bunker is moving along swimmingly. We are gathering our resources in preparation for our very first appearance as a craft fair vendor, a purveyor of homespun curiosities. PixelPerls will be vending our pixely wares at the annual Maine Ultimate Yard Sale hosted by local radio station 99.9 The Wolf. The event will be held on October 15th, from 9AM - 2PM EST.
If you happen to be in or near the state of Maine on that day, please feel free stop in and say hello in person. If you happen to mention you found out about our whereabouts via this very blog, we may even give you a special stalker discount.
NINJA EDIT: Due to inclement weather concerns, the event has been moved to October 22nd.

Shipping Cost is (No Longer) Over 9000!
Friends, gamers, armchair warriors: lend me your ears.
Have ludicrously high shipping fees ever caused you to decide against purchasing an item online? If you're silently nodding in agreement, take heart, for we have heard your pleas.
PixelPerls has done some research into the many possible ways of moving objects from one place to another, and we've settled on a method that boasts both expediency and thrift; that is to say, we can get you your stuff fast and cheap.
Feel free to mosey on over to our humble shop and check it all out.

It's a Deal, It's a Steal!
Gaming aficionados: through the remainder of the month of September, you can get 10% off your order total at PixelPerls.com! "But how!?", you eagerly inquire. It's simple: enter the coupon code PIXEL10 during checkout and BAM! - things that cost a certain amount suddenly cost less.
Such is the magic of the internets.

A place to write about... Things 'n' stuff.
Checking off one amongst a myriad of things on the "We Should Do This Someday" list, PixelPerls has joined this so-called blogosphere. Who are we? What do we do? Why do we keep giving you that knowing wink and nudge, spouting off incoherence vaguely referencing "games" and "retro"? Well, it's not about shuffleboard.
For those of you that aren't already privy to such information, PixelPerls is all about hand-crafted decorations inspired by classic video game characters. Most of them come pre-packaged with a self-adhering magnetic strip, allowing you (a buyer of impeccable taste) to single-handedly turn a piece of our work into a refrigerator accoutrement, a food-preserver embellishment, a piece of appliance flair... If you will.
As you may have already surmised, this blog is where we get to be informal; this is not written to maximize search engine results, and it is certainly not a marketing brochure. If you can't see the real people behind a product, how can you be sure you aren't handing over your hard-earned duckets to a soulless automaton of questionable origins? You can't.
Apart from keeping you, the readers, up-to-date on any new pieces we put up on our shop, we also intend to use this small bit of the internet to muse about the classic video games themselves, new developments in the industry regarding said games, and largely anything else that we feel like subjecting the unwitting denizens of cyberspace to. Mostly games though.
Here's to a new beginning, and the desperate hope that we may actually remember to write something once in awhile.
